“Satosugu through the seasons”

This zine aims to explore the romantic relationship between Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto from Akutami Gege’s Jujutsu Kaisen manga; therefore, all content shall be centred around these two characters. We’re aiming for the canon setting of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga.The anthology shall be divided into different sections based on the different seasons and shall explore Satosugu chronologically through the Jujutsu Kaisen series. We envision the theme of seasons to take on multiple dimensions besides mood/aesthetic and timeline.Spring: This shall be the first section of our anthology and shall focus on their meeting and early years.Summer: This section shall be set in the Hidden Inventory timeline and follow all the incidents up to Suguru’s deflection.Autumn: This section shall focus on the aftermaths of Suguru’s defection and transition into the timeline of Jujutsu Kaisen 0.Winter: This shall focus on adult Satosugu and everything that happens post JJK0.This project aims to capture montages of Satosugu through their journey together and apart from each other. We hope to feature everything from soft domestic settings and cheerful tones to bittersweet dilemmas and heartbreak to acceptance and remembrance and everything in between. Honestly, feel free to go wild and unleash your Satosugu muse!Previous zine experience and follower count are not factors for acceptance. All applicants will be judged based on the samples and portfolios submitted in the application form.

Project Format

SFW Zine:The main zine shall be a collaborative project wherein each piece of writing will be illustrated with full page art pieces.This is why the writers will be accepted to the project first and their pitches will be finalised before the page artists are accepted. Artists will be paired with writers based on their preference of the finalised short story pitches.We will try our best to give you your first pick of the story you wish to illustrate, but we make no promises. We will be sharing the list of writers and page artists with the team before the final matchups are made. So if you are uncomfortable working with anyone, you can let us know beforehand so we can avoid pairing you up with that person. This information will be shared only within the mod team.NSFW Zines:There will be two digital NSFW side zines, one for each dynamic aka Gego and Goge.The NSFW zines will not be organised as a collaborative project. Writers and artists shall work independently, but they are free to collaborate if they wish to, provided they meet their individual deadlines.

What is a zine?A zine (or fan zine) is a fan-made anthology in the form of a booklet or magazine, filled with artwork and writing, usually centered around a specific theme and catering to a particular fandom.What is the theme of this zine?The theme is “Satosugu through the seasons”. We aim to explore the romantic relationship between Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto in the canon setting of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga.Will the zine be physical or digital?Both physical as well as digital formats of the zine will be available for pre-orders, as well as a digital only NSFW side zine.Can minors participate in this zine?Contributors must be 18+ years old by the time of application.Where will the profits go?This zine is for-profit. Any extra profits will go towards compensating our contributors with free copies of the zine and bundle.Can I apply for the zine?Yes! Contributor applications will run from July 5th and we would love to see you apply! We are looking for writers, page artists, & merch artists. For more info, check out our application guidelines!Can I apply as multiple types of contributors?You can apply for more than one role and may be accepted to create multiple pieces.Does having past JJK art help with getting in?Although it is not mandatory to have Jujutsu Kaisen pieces to apply, they are definitely desired. It is also recommended to submit samples that feature Satosugu.Will you ship worldwide?Yes!What language will the zine be in?The zine will be in English.Will contributors receive a free copy?All contributors will be given a free e-copy of the book.
